Accurate hands harpooned a butterfly, anchoring her wings to the ground; no attempts to retreat could free the fragile and broken flutter: the embroidered symmetry no longer mirrored on both sides. Her delicate lips gave off a cough, trickling blood to the hibiscus blooms; a passing sparrow saw her wounds and shut his mouth to never sing again.

    beautiful. I thought harpooned a butterfly was a strong image too. you’ve taken those words and woven a somewhat sad but inspiring tale. have a great day.
