Sleeping on train tracks

We hopped the train without tickets and stumbled into an empty cart. We weren’t sure what independence would be like, but visions of sunshine guided us north. Hell wouldn’t contain us any longer. The conductor came round and saw us sleeping but didn’t say a word. Footsteps woke me up and brought me eye to eye with faith.
