His metal stethoscope counts your heart’s ticks. Its chill calls the bumps out of hiding. His touch startles and sends more pumps per second. Symptoms appear as coughs. A lack of consent surfaces as the cause. His medicine serves as poison. That taste morphs her soul into a lonely child looking for an escape from reality and misunderstanding.
